Danielle Strauss, MD
Dr Danielle Strauss is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in diseases of the retina and vitreous. Dr Strauss provides vitreo-retinal eye care with careful attention to each patient's particular needs. As a retinal specialist, she is an expert in medical, laser and surgical management of the retina.
Dr Strauss is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she received departmental honors. She was accepted to Mount Sinai School of Medicine through their prestigious Humanities in Medicine program where she received her MD with distinction for research in ophthalmology. Dr Strauss completed her internship at Maimonides Medical Center, New York. Dr Strauss pursued her residency and surgical training in ophthalmology at New York University Medical Center/Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital. She completed her education with a 2 year sub-specialization fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in Manhattan, where she received a research award for most outstranding project completed by a fellow at New York Eye and Ear.
Dr Strauss has distinguished herself by publishing over a dozen peer reviewed publications, and has presented her research at numerous national meetings including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retinal Specialists, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Society of Retinal Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
