David Chen, M.D.
David Chen, M.D. is an ophthalmologist specializing in oculo-plastic and reconstructive surgery. His interest includes droopy eyelids, eye lash problem, tearing from blocked tear duct, reconstructive surgery for skin cancer around eyes, and cosmetic eyelid surgery.
Dr. Chen graduate from John Hopkins University, magna cum laude with membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He then attended Harvard Medical School-MIT division of Health Sciences and Technology in Boston. Dr. Chen served his internship in surgery/medicine at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Massachusetts.
His ophthalmology residency was at Tufts Medical School where he later served a Fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery and Neuro-ophthalmology at the New England Eye Center, Boston Massachusetts. He taught Oculoplastics as an assistant professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts/New England Eye Center for 2 years before moving back to New Jersey where he grew up.
Dr. Chen is Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, he performs many types of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids including the use of BOTOX® Cosmetic and Restylane®.
